Most Plano homes were built solidly in the 1990s and 2000s — great bones, but dated kitchens with builder-grade cabinets, laminate counters, and cramped layouts. Here’s how we brought one Plano kitchen fully into 2026 without changing the home’s footprint.

The Challenge

Our Plano clients loved their home but hated cooking in their kitchen. Tight workspace. Storage they couldn’t reach. A fluorescent overhead fixture that made every meal feel like a hospital cafeteria. Cabinets with 1990s oak that had seen better days. They didn’t want to move walls or add square footage — they just wanted a kitchen that worked and looked beautiful.

Our Approach

• Custom cabinetry that uses every inch. New full-height pantry cabinets, pull-out drawers in every base, custom spice storage, and soft-close everything.
• Quartz counters in a warm veined pattern. Reflects light, hides fingerprints, and ages beautifully.
• Tile backsplash + hardware as finishing details. Handset tile in a classic pattern, brushed nickel pulls, and a modern faucet.
• Proper lighting in layers. Recessed LEDs replaced the fluorescent box, pendants added over the peninsula, and under-cabinet LEDs for task lighting.
• Hardwood floor refresh. The existing engineered hardwood was refinished to a warmer tone that better complements the new cabinetry.
